Hi, I'm Laura.

I studied graphic design at BYU, then started my career in New York doing branding, packaging, and book design for clients like Band-Aid, Steven Heller, WNET, and BECCA Cosmetics. UX brought me back to Utah, where I fell for data visualization at Domo, building apps for the Super Bowl and Nielsen TV rankings. At Instructure, I designed an AI tool that spotted patterns in student engagement on Canvas and flagged struggling students to the teachers and counselors who could step in.

Since then I've gravitated toward early-stage work. I was the founding designer at PingPong from before YC, designed patient-centered workflows at Tendo, and co-founded three startups of my own. Now I'm Head of Design at Philo Ventures, where my team shapes brand and product for several new companies at once.

Off the clock, I'm a very enthusiastic beginning skateboarder.
